Salario de Ingeniero de IA / ML en South Carolina (2026)

Vale la pena saber: BMW Manufacturing Co. Spartanburg's connected vehicle + autonomous AI development is one of the country's largest single-OEM automotive AI environments outside Tesla and a feature most national ML surveys understate for SC. BMW Spartanburg (BMW Group's largest global plant) operates substantial connected vehicle telematics + manufacturing AI + autonomous driving development supporting BMW's global X-series production — BMW's autonomous driving AI investments span Level 2 ADAS through eventual Level 4 development across global BMW models including X-series. Senior BMW Spartanburg ML engineers clear $155-235K TC. BlueCross BlueShield of SC Columbia operates the country's largest US private federal healthcare AI organization — substantial TRICARE + CMS claims fraud detection + predictive risk modeling + clinical decision support AI at federal contractor scale. Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC operates one of the country's 73 NCI-designated cancer center clinical AI programs including substantial computational pathology + genomics + imaging AI. Clemson University's Watt Family Innovation Center + Clemson International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) Greenville (post-2007 BMW + state of SC partnership, the country's only graduate engineering school co-located with a luxury automotive manufacturer) anchor SC automotive AI research. SC's 5.21% top rate (H.4216, 2026) applies above $30,000 of SC taxable income, so it reaches nearly all senior ML engineers — and it is far below OR/MN's 9.85-9.9% tops.
